For home care & PCA agencies

We handle the back-and-forth of hiring, so you can focus on the caregivers who'll care for your clients.

The messaging, screening, and scheduling behind every hire takes hours each week. Async Labs handles all of it, so the part left for you is the one that matters, deciding who you trust with your clients.

Hi Gaby! I'm Alma, Sunrise Home Care's hiring assistant. Thanks for applying — mind if I ask a couple quick things to get you booked for an interview?
What gets in the way

Finding and keeping caregivers who truly care is the hardest part of the work.

Between running visits, answering families, and everything a day already asks of you, hiring is the piece that waits. Applications sit for a day or two, and good caregivers move on before anyone can reach them. Not for lack of trying, but because the hours simply aren't there. Async Labs takes that piece on, so staying staffed doesn't cost you the time you'd rather spend with the people you serve.

How it works

The hiring legwork, taken off your hands.

Step 1

Everyone who applies, in one place

Wherever people apply, whether it's Indeed, Facebook, your website, or a walk-in, their details come together in one simple place, so no one slips out of view.

Step 2

A warm reply, soon after they apply

Every applicant hears back in a friendly message written in your agency's voice, in English or Spanish, so no one is left wondering whether anyone saw their application.

Step 3

A booked interview, ready for you

They choose a time that works, get a gentle reminder the day before, and arrive ready to meet you. All that's left is to see whether they're someone you'd trust in a client's home.

And once they're hired, the check-ins keep going — day 1, week 1, week 2, day 30, day 60 — so you hear about a hard drive or a short week while it's still something you can fix.

The assistant

Meet Alma.

Alma is a hiring assistant that reaches out to the people who apply to your agency. She texts them in English or Spanish, asks the few things you need to know, offers your open interview times, and sends a reminder before the interview.

She's upfront that she's an assistant. She handles the early conversation, then hands off to your team for the interview and every hiring decision.

We set her up for the way your agency hires and run her day to day. Every agency gets its own named assistant, and Alma is simply the one we use to show how it works.

What hiring costs

Recruiting is one of the largest line items in home care.

Every caregiver who leaves has to be advertised for, replied to, interviewed, onboarded, and trained again — and until they're replaced, someone is covering those shifts on overtime. Here's what that usually adds up to across the industry.

$3,500

To replace one caregiver

Advertising, screening, onboarding, training, and the overtime that covers the gap. Industry estimates run from roughly $2,600 to $5,000.

~$700

Advertising spend per hire

What agencies typically spend on job boards and sponsored posts for every caregiver who actually starts.

10 hrs

Office time per hire

Calling back, texting, rescheduling no-shows, chasing paperwork. This is the part Alma actually takes over.

79%

Median annual turnover

And a large share of it happens in the first ninety days — which is exactly where the check-ins are pointed.

These are industry averages. On our call we'll look at what hiring actually costs your agency.

Why we built this

Built by people who've done the work.

Async Labs comes out of home care. We've worked as caregivers, we've been the person applying to agencies, and we've seen how much good care depends on having the right people in place, and how easily hiring falls behind when there's so much else to hold together.

So we built this for the way home care really works. Nothing to learn, nothing new to manage. You stay with your clients and your caregivers, and the hiring keeps moving quietly in the background.

Questions owners ask

Frequently asked questions

Who is actually sending the messages?

Your agency's hiring assistant. She sends the thank-you, asks your screening questions, and books the interview — which is how someone who applies at nine at night still hears back at nine at night. She says she's an assistant in her first message, so no one thinks they're texting a coworker, and anything she isn't meant to answer goes to your team. You still meet every applicant and make every hiring decision.

Can she text applicants in Spanish?

Yes — she answers in whichever language the applicant writes in, English or Spanish, with the same warmth either way. In a lot of markets that alone is the difference between a caregiver replying and a caregiver going quiet.

Do I have to change the software I already use?

No. This sits alongside whatever you run today. Applications come in the same way, and booked interviews land on the same calendar your office already watches. Nothing new for your staff to learn.

My market barely has applicants. Does this still help?

Then each one matters more, and losing one to a slow callback costs you more, not less. In thin markets the caregivers are usually already working somewhere — the agency that answers first is often the one that keeps them.

How long before it's running?

About a week. We take your screening questions, your interview calendar, your assistant's name, and your tone of voice, run a few test applications with you watching, then turn it on.

Working together

Built around the way you already work.

We set your assistant up around the way your agency already hires, then run her month to month. There's nothing for your office to learn and no long commitment — we'd start with a conversation to make sure it's a fit.
